Default A modified scenario SPMBT

From the read me:

Committed to the Fray*
*
Date: June 8, 2009*
*
Battle Location: Hwanghe-Bukto region, North Korea*
*
Battle Type: US Army advance vs North Korea delay.*
*
Description: Led by the United States an international coalition is formed to put pressure on the ever defiant North Korea. The goal is to force Pyongyang to adhere to the demand of the international community, especially regarding the suspected Nuclear Weapons program.*
*
Despite a build-up of various forces in South Korea the North Korean leadership does not find the coalition to be a credible threat, as there is some disagreement between chiefly the European countries and the United States, on top of which most of the coalition partners are more or less bogged down in Iraq and Afghanistan.*
*
A number of ultimatums put forward by the coalition are ignored. Efforts by China to mediate in the crisis fail. North Korea mobilise some of its forces, but preparations are limited as the leadership in Pyongyang remains secure in the belief that the military build-up is a bluff.*
*
On June 5 the military operations against North Korea begins.*
*
Following up through the breach created by ROK forces the US 2nd Infantry Division begins pushing north. The division’s third brigade was one of the US Army’s first formations equipped with the Stryker family of vehicles and although squaring off against the heavy forces of the KPA is something the Stryker Brigades were not intended for the somewhat overstretched US Army has no choice but to commit them to the fray. On the other side of the hill, the KPA, caught off guard, feeds armoured forces into poorly organised counterattacks with little regard for losses.*
*
Notes: If played against the AI the human player should take the US Army side.*
*
Sources: Fictional scenario*

From my read me:

First off, I pay homage to Ulf. He has been my inspiration for the last few years as to a scenario designer. IMO scenarios don't get any better than the ones he has designed. Should he have any objection to my modification of his scenario,my apologies, and please eliminate this posting. This attempt was only made in due respect to the original poster of this scenario and to maybe jump start a bit of extra life into our wonderful battle simulator.

This feeble attempt is to lengthen the odds as to a U.S. victory. My attempt is to represent an actual Stryker battalion TO&E without any other ground support against a modern day,3rd world army in an emergency situation. I've played this scenario numerous times from both sides and usually the U.S. Stryker force kicks behind. Use them well and they are a deadly force. Only minor modifications to the artillery and helicopter support were made. A singular thin skinned, wheeled vehicle battalion needs a little extra help in this fictional, but exceptional scenario by Ulf.

Make sure you have a backup copy of SPMBT on your hard drive as this one may not be compatible with your normal installation of version 6.0. Install this scenario and my modified obat012 to that secondary installation SPMBT. BTW,I use the Cross sound modification mod as well.
