Question regarding retreats in the turn resolution
My question is the following: Lets assume I attack Province A by using some ritual, e.g. cloud trapeze. Thus, this battle will be resolved in the "Magic Battles" phase of the turn resolution.
If my army retreats from this battle to the only friendly adjacent province B, when will the retreat happen? Will the army be there to defend Province B in the "Regular Battles" phase in case it is attacked or will the retreat happen later possibly leading to the death of the cloud trapezing attackers in case Province B is taken?

Re: Question regarding retreats in the turn resolution
Iirc retreats happen after the battle phases, so retreated troops will be there in province B.

Soy, are you saying there's a magic battle retreat phase (right afterwards) and a 2nd retreat phase that happens after regular battles? I've been kinda fuzzy on how this works myself, though I suppose if I was in front of the game I could set up a test for it...

Re: Question regarding retreats in the turn resolution
after a quick test, soy is right. There is a retreat after the magic phase, so the retreated units will be present in neighbouring provinces for the normal battle phase.

No, they will die. That's why I prefer to cloud trapeze in to neighboring provinces so there's an escape route if one of the attackers routs. Especially important if the opponent is a skelly spammer and can tie up the attacker until autorout occurs.
Also worth keeping in mind positioning when doing this as the attackers may have to fight a battle in the regular movement phase as well and you may not want your attacker's scripting interfering which each other.

Re: Question regarding retreats in the turn resolution
Clarification: when I say neighboring provinces, I mean that the provinces targeted by my teleporters neighbor each other - not that they have to neighbor my own territory. That would be limiting.
