Holy fire sites

My undead keep getting hit with a holy fire site in a province I captured. How do I find the site/disable the effect? I already searched the area with Priest 4 prophet and a rainbow pretender and found nothing that looks like a holy site.

Try astral search. You cannot disable that effect.

What does the message actually say? As there are two types of site effects that can damage undead. Holy Power and Holy Fire.

Either way this thread should answer your questions. (although IIRC there is an error in it, as The Sacred Glen site is Holy Fire and not Holy Power as stated)

So the only way to guard such sites is with non-undead units?

or undead with high hp. (if you do not care about afflictions)
