The 2011 Shrapnel Games Holiday Sale-bration!
A Merry Month Of Gaming Goodness And Special Savings!

Cary, NC, 21 November 2011

If you’re a gamer looking for great deals on your favorite software no need to wait until Black Friday! Shrapnel Games is kicking off the holiday season early this year with a terrific End of the Year Sale-bration that starts on November 21st and goes all the way to December 20th! That’s right, one month of deep discounts on all your favorite titles from Shrapnel Games.

Every game currently available at Shrapnel Games is on sale, from the serious military simulations to the mindblowing latest from Digital Eel. Buy for yourself or for someone else. Enjoy the very best in independent strategy gaming, featuring no DRM and fully archivable products. Check out the complete list of games and sale prices to decide what titles need to be under your Christmas Tree this year, even if it’s just a virtual one.

Bronze ($24.95): Ancient conquest via the path of the Eurogame. Easy to learn, hard to master gameplay wrapped up in a crunchy soft shell of historical goodness, Bronze is the model for a computer game enjoyable from ages 8 until 80. Look for the licensed board game from Spiral Galaxy Games UK in 2012.

Weird Worlds: Return to Infinite Space ($20.95): Because someone needs to put the bug eyed aliens in place. And to fight towel thieves. And discover new planets. And to do it all in thirty minutes or less. Weird Worlds is your pocket space opera, a galactic playground of ever changing surprises.

World Supremacy ($24.95): This land is my land…that land is my land…in fact, it’s all my land. Experience your manifest destiny at conquering the planet one territory at a time with World Supremacy. Diplomacy and gift giving is replaced with heavy armor and thermonuclear warheads.

War Plan Pacific ($34.95): It’s six P.M. and you just got home from work. You could veg out and watch some TV or you could refight the entire war in the Pacific and still be in bed before Dave’s Top Ten list. Impossible, you say? War Plan Pacific is the grand strategy title you’ve been waiting for, historically accurate and yet playable with broad strokes in a single session.

winSPWW2 and winSPMBT Enhanced Editions ($34.95 each): Besides chocolate and peanut butter you know what else goes great together? Hexes and tanks! This is old school wargaming at its finest, featuring literally thousands of hours of gameplay. Between the two games you’ll be able to play any scenario you can think of from the early 1930s until the 2020s.

BRAINPIPE: A Plunge to Unhumanity ($4.95): For under five bucks you can turn off all the lights in your computer room, crank up the sound, and learn to transcend your humanity with this very mellow game. Feed your head!

Data Jammers: FastForward ($4.95): It’s you against the military industrial ghost grid. Speed down the retro highway of neon brilliance, jam your way through the defenses, and claim your psychedelic victory. Or at least the high score.

Battle Group Commander ($9.95): A microgame featuring all the expansive details you come to expect from a ProSIM product but at a tiny price. Featuring a mini-campaign and multiplayer capabilities, lead the fight against the Russians using your Brits. Fully compatible with other ProSIM titles and a great introduction to their world.

BCT Commander ($14.95): The predecessor to ATF: Armored Task Force and Air Assault Task Force, BCT Commander is a detailed simulation of modern land warfare. If you like tanks, and brigades, then BCT Commander is your game.

Air Command 3.0 ($34.95): Proving that not every strategy game has to be one of conquest, Air Command 3.0 is a cunning game of air traffic. Featuring real world airports and all the problems faced by actual air traffic controllers, this is a game playable in quick bites and featuring metric tons of replayability.

Dominions 3: The Awakening ($47.95): Greatest turn based fantasy game ever. ‘Nuff said. Ok, we’ll tell you more. Featuring thousands of units, hundreds of spells and magic items, and endless strategic decisions, Dominions 3 is a fantasy game that could be played for years without seeing everything offered. The last fantasy wargame needed.

Salvo! ($34.95): Crush your enemies on the high seas through the joyous use of iron spheres of destruction. Encompassing the Age of Fighting Sail and featuring three centuries of nautical mayhem, Salvo! does everything from duels to entire fleet engagements. As WinSPWW2 is to tactical WW2 computer wargaming, Salvo! is to naval wargaming.

Air Assault Task Force ($34.95): Ride your metal valkyries into battle from the highlands of Vietnam to the mountains of Afghanistan. Real-time simulation of airmobile operations spanning four decades of modern warfare, highlighting three pivotal battles.

ATF: Armored Task Force ($22.95): Bring forth the heavy metal thunder and smite your enemies using 120mm bolts. A ProSIM simulation focusing on land combat around the world. A great survey sim and as with all ProSIM titles features real world maps, realistic results, and full control of how one plays.

The Falklands War: 1982 ($34.95): ProSIM does historical. Not many games have tackled the Falklands War. Focusing on the ground actions this is a perfect example of the flexibility of the ProSIM engine. Instead of commanding platoons of tanks players command platoons of infantry, with fidelity right down to individual bayonet charges.

Raging Tiger: The Second Korean War ($34.95): Another ProSIM title, this one focusing on a hypothetical full blown war on the Korean peninsula. The US/ROK campaign is playable in any mission order and is one of the most challenging campaigns ever offered in a ProSIM product. Good strategy though will be rewarded. As with other ProSIM products Raging Tiger is compatible with other ProSIM titles.

Scallywag: In the Lair of the Medusa ($22.95): A mixture of dungeon creation kit and dungeon crawling, Scallywag allows gamers to play the Rogue-like single player action RPG or craft their own games using basic Windows applications. The standard game features plenty of nifty ideas, such as the importance of light, and boasts an impressive number of levels. Modding Scallywag is super easy, allowing gamers to change the game in minutes.

Space HoRSE ($24.95): This economic strategy game (yep, in this case business is truly war) is a homage to the classic four player Atari 800 title M.U.L.E. Quick gameplay, quirky graphics, non-violent gameplay, and multiplayer support turns Space HoRSE into its own classic.

The Star and the Crescent ($34.95): Another ProSIM title, this one centers on the Middle East and Arab-Israeli conflicts, both historical and hypothetical. Lots of armor action, along with highly detailed close air support and air defense mechanics makes The Star and the Crescent a terrific title for the modern wargamer.

Remember, the sale ends on December 20th! If ordering physical products as gifts please order early enough to take into account the holiday shipping rush.
