Unhappy Battle Group Commander

I don't want to sound like a cry baby, but having played 3/4 of BGC episode one has been a mixed experience. The first two scenarios are easiely won - but the third....
A few remarks/questions:

- Scenario two:
Apaches with 16 Hellfires and 76 rockets? Shouldn't it be 16 hellfires or 76 rockets or a 8/38 combo?

- Scenario three:
Has anyone played this and won? If so, how did you place your units? A static defence or counter attack?
My Warriors are shot to peaces without doing any harm to the T80s?
Are the Javelins not better in real life? It take 3-4 to knock out a single T80?
A stationary platoon of Challengers took 3-4 volleys (9-12 rounds) to knock out one T80. A moving T80 will knock out a Challenger (moving or stationary) with the first round?
I have a lot of vehicles and sections that do not fire, allthuogh they are in range and have LOS to the T80s?
Has anyone found any use for the mortar platoon and artillery battery?

I will leave the strategy to Gary B.

As for the Apache loadout, I don’t understand. I think you have a typo.

For the units not firing, have you tried using the suppress order? If that gets them firing then they either don't have possitive ID or the to hit chance is too low.

I will try out with suppressing.

Sorry - it was late and I was slightly aggitated The Apache will load 16 missiles or 76 rockets or a combination of 8 missiles and 38 rockets. Unless a new version exists?

Slowly getting there. Have succeeded in reducing the enemy to about 70% before being overrun.

Still my infantry will not fire at tanks with their 94 mm LAWs? Giving suppress order does not help.

A Sabre is not able to destroy a FOO team though it spend ALL 30 mm ammo and half 7.62 mm ammo?

I find it hard to believe that 30 mm cannot harm a T80U? I would expect that the tracks could be broken, resulting in a mobility kill?

I am not sure a LAW can kill a tank from the front. Try getting in position for a rear shot.

Dismounts are very tough to kill unless you are point blank. That is why firefights go on for hours IRL.

The Sabre is very close and the FOO team is not entrenched. On top of that the T80s have no problem killing my dismounts with mg fire.

Hi Shorty

The load out for the Longbow is correct. Here's a link that might help you. http://www.army.mod.uk/equipment/aircraft/1531.aspx

Not quite so Gary. Notice the image (video) - each "wing" has two weapon stations. Each station will hold 4 missiles or one rocket pod, as shown.
