Twiceborn, drowning and bakemono
It's a sure sign you haven't played a game for too long when you don't even know the basics for sure any more
Anyhow, here's my problem:
I figured that having a Bakemono Sorcerer cast Twiceborn, then drown him by moving him into a see province and taking away his Ring of Water Breathing / Shambler Armour would be a good way to kill him without getting even more afflictions when he comes back as a wight.
I'm pretty sure it worked once - in the last game.
Now, I've lost 2 sorcerers (and quite some gems!), as I only get the message "XY drowned in ZZ", but no wight appears.
And before you ask, yes, I still own my capitol. In both provinces there's DOM 10. Twiceborn was successfully cast 2 turns before. And those sorcerers aren't demons/undead etc.
Where did I err ?

Re: Twiceborn, drowning and bakemono
I read in other threads that drowning is a bug that bypasses your twiceborn... So no drowning them to convert them to undead.
So some creativity would be needed in suiciding them quickly and without affliction. I believe fatiguing them to death (aura, communion) and high difficulty rout death was discussed in those thread, bog beast was thrown out as I believe poison damage does cause affliction.

But it worked once, I'm pretty sure.
More testing needed, it seems ...
You don't have link to those threads, by chance?

Would mind-hunting your own units work?

You can't mind-hunt your own units.

Re: Twiceborn, drowning and bakemono
Life After Death is cheaper and easier than twiceborn, and you can 'batch-order' it. Admittedly, the chassis you get isn't quite as nice. (Works best with death by poison probably). Warning: May be considered an exploit.

maybe it worked in 1 of the older patches, but these things tend to change a lot with the patch updates.
