Re: extra crews
OK - you already are carrying these crews that have appeared from somewhere. Pzh200 troops F, H, BMP platoon L for example, none of which have any abandoned or destroyed vehicles.
I presume you have just voluntarily retreated everything off the map - since no units are on there to select, but most are not destroyed. (Helpful if such things are mentioned).
Now - I recall that you were the one reporting "ghost crews" in the previous version of the game.
Is this the same game, carried over or a game started in 4.5?.
If it is a game played entirely in 4.5, then it can be investigated. But, if it is a carry-over game started in a previous version, it is useless. You already had ghost crews in that game, and these are likely the same guys.
IF it is a 4.5 game, then I would need the first game turn where these "extra" crews appeared. Ghost crews were fixed in 4.5.
If it was not started under 4.5 - then restart your campaign under 4.5 since the ghost crew problem was fixed, but any previous version game will have these guys as part of your core now. Or continue with it, converting these pre-4.5 extra crews to something useful.

Re: extra crews
It is not the same game. Or even against the same player. It's a fresh installation of 4.5 Although 4.0 is still installed elsewhere on the same machine. I don't know how to uninstall it alone.
So, it is version 4.5
As to when exactly they appeared, I don't remember so it is kind of impossible for me to help on that.
Is it possible that the two versions conflict with each other although they are installed in different directories?
Also, the other player, Imp, said he has crews as well.

4.5 is supported - and the problem was supposed to be fixed. having 4.0 in a separate installation will have no adverse effects.
So far, we have no reports on this problem in WW2, and in MBT only your games seem to have these problems. None of my own quick tests managed to get this effect either.
So - it is a matter of finding out what exactly you did to make these extra crews appear.
For example - just as a wild guess - did you perhaps sell off an unrepaired core formation that had destroyed vehicles?
When did these Pzh 2000 SPA platoons get destroyed - if at all?.
I really want to see the save before these extras arrived, and the save after.

I did not sell any unrepaired units. The PZH2000 were destroyed, 2 or 3 of them IIRC.
I don't keep save files for long, unless i forget it. I don't think I have any more left of this or previous battles of this campaign. Unless Imp has copies of the files he sends me.

Re: extra crews
I think what has happened as you said is a unit has been sold off that has been destroyed but crews survived. As I W keyed APCs I just sold the single APC left in the platoon at the end of the game, fairly sure before repairing while remembered to. There have been an awful lot of unit switches in this game the easiest solution might be to leave & see if occurs again in a new game when start. I will save games from now on namely start & end battle saves plus original deploy. Or can do the whole game

Re: extra crews
You know, it is getting tiring to have to repeat myself over this. I did not sell any vehicle or other unit apart from the very very very first purchase of the campaign that i might have done so when choosing my initial force. I hope it is clear enough.
Since Imp did what he says, would that also affect my units in the same way? That would be interesting.

It may be some strange interaction with his crews becoming the orphans and getting attached to you if the game loses track. But I really need a save of before and after they appear - and then to know precisely what both of you did really.
Whatever it is, once found the answer will be simple (probably), it is just finding what precisely did the trick in the first place that is the problem.
Only you two have reported this AFAIK - there have been no reports of the phenomenon in WW2 and none in MBT bar yours.
So we have to determine what is happening, and whatever it is that you two seem to be doing !.
Could be anything - maybe it is the 90 odds platoons you have under A0, with absolutely no company HQs?. How you treat destroyed units on the fix screen?. Previous battles of yours I have looked at seem to have rather high rates of destroyed units - maybe that is it?.
But we wont know till we track it down and stomp that bug. So when you start a new campaign, keep all your turns zip files so I can back track if needed.
