Human purchase when computer selected
I think I've found a bug in random generated battles when you set human for both players but computer for both purchases. The computer buys units only for player 1 but not for player 2 who can buy his units in the select formation screen. This happens both in Spmbt and Spww2.

Re: Human purchase when computer selected
Sure it will. You need to enter the passwords

Re: Human purchase when computer selected
You're right Don, I noticed that with passwords it now works and so I could make pbem games with this variant; the problem is only for a hotseat game but I think that is a very unlikely case!

Re: Human purchase when computer selected
I have, but that was a loooong time ago. DOS days. I think maybe even pre-modded Sp2. Don't exactly remember. Local Model shop had a big room where we would play board games. Several of us chipped in and picked up a dozen 486 grade machines at auction for about 20$ and networked them to try and play Doom. It didn't work very well, although we did manage to get Air Warrior and MechWar working. Sorta. 486 was too slooooooow. which is why they were going dirt cheap at auction when the 2nd gen Pent's (MMX or P54CTB) came out. And a dozen or so of us started a hotseat club. I think hotseat is the best way to learn, since you can play a game in 4 to 8 hours or so (same day). This is much better then 2 or 3 months per game.
The problem with hotseat is finding enough players. I am fortunate to live not far from what was once a major military base. That meant lots of retirees. Put up a 3x5 on the board at the local PX and see who calls.
