Default Printable TO&Es for minor powers?

Hi guys

Having been to the Philippines a couple of times I've been attempting to make a Philippine Army vs New People's Army scenario. Circa 1985-90 if possible, but any time since then would do.

I know someone here has been working on a Philippine Army TO&E, but I'm not too confident that I could install it without screwing up the game.

Does anyone know of a good source of printable TO&E/OOB information for the Philippines and other "minor" powers that aren't in the game?

Are you familiar with how Mobhack works? I could just send you the .oob file without anything else and you could sample what you need from it for your scenario. That way you don't have to worry about "installing" additional files for icons, names, etc.

Unfortunately I've found that there is rarely any "one stop shop" for such information for small nations. I spend more time collecting information for my OOBs than actually constructing them (which might explain the number of first release typo errors hehe).

Detailed organizations in the Platoon-Battalion range are extremely hard to find for minor powers. Major equipment (tanks, planes etc) is a bit easier, I can give you some pointers. High level organizations are also a bit easier to find but useless for us except for context.

Major equipment was mainly what I had in mind. Sorry I was not specific enough. But if somebody could point me toward organizational data I would not complain!

I know certain types of US-made equipment have been used by the AFP over the years, but I can't remember what was used when. I know the NPA gets lots of its gear, which is mostly light anyway, from the AFP, so they are not a problem.

I've looked at Mobhack but to be honest it looks rather intimidating. I don't want to replace an existing OOB with another. Having a printed OOB would give me something to go by when selecting forces from the "green" list.

thatguy96, I would be interested in your Philippine OOB, as well as your Haiti and Dominican OOBs. If I download and unzip them, are they in readable form already or must they be installed in the game to be visible?

All you'd have to do to look at them would be to unzip them into the custom OOB folder in the game's directory and then open it up in Mobhack. You wouldn't have to muck with anything complicated to just view things. I also just dumped the OOB using Mobhack and that allows you to read it using excel, which might be confusing as well, but that's also an option. PM me and Email address if you want either of the files as I'm sure my rapidshare links for the Philippine OOB by itself are dead.

This is an international arms trade database. You can use the generator at the following link to find out about arms aquired or supplied by any country.

http://armstrade.sipri.org/arms_trad...e_register.php

It generates a word file which can be saved/printed as you see fit. It covers purchases of major weapons, starting from atgm/manpads at the lower end.
It isn't 100% of course but it seems pretty accurate when checked against others available sources. Short of deep archival searches and the likes it as good as it gets.
Of course it does not tell you what the country has done with those items or who long they stayed in service but it is a start.

The SIPRI arms trade database is actually good despite its inaccuracies because it at least notes the entries that they were unsure of and has relatively detailed notes.

The US Federal Research Service's Country Study Series (http://lcweb2.loc.gov/frd/cs/cshome.html) is also a good source, but unfortunately they stopped updating it at the end of the 1980s.

In terms of the Philippines, I would also recommend http://www.hueybravo.net/index.htm and http://www.timawa.net/index.htm, but both appear to have basically stopped being updated in 2006. For what you're looking for that might be okay.
