Default sound oddity - is this normal?

So i've added in sound to my mod, and i thought that there's no music for when you're sitting at the starmap (where you occassionally get static-y clips of radio). But I just recently noticed that really softly in the background is a stuttering noise kinda like wardrums played by orcs on caffeine. It's neat for all of two seconds before it start giving me a headache

Is this some strange thing that might be fixed by simply reinstalling? or does everybody get this? If this is normal for everyone, does anyone know what audio file it's playing (or trying to play and just stuttering on the first .7 secs of it) so i can silence it?

there's a "bridge ambience" track. It should sound like a low hum or rumble. If you want to replace it in your mod, the filename is sounds/music/bridge.ogg
