Default Ghost Wolves & Other Modding questions

1.Hey, One of Bogus's mages casts GhostWolves as I recall - and I'd like to use some of the effects and sprites. Yet I can't find the unit either in the unit database or the spell list.

Anyone know the unit number? (or have a game with bogus, for the shift i?)

2. Can one put a comment in .dm file. How?
3. Is there a way to generate a charm effect on a weapon.

Thanks from a newb. I'm up to revision 24 on my ONI .. I hope to get feedback on it soon!

The artifact Tartarian Chains has 'Enslavement'. It transforms commanders into units, but it might be enough.

The ghost wolf might be called a phantasmal wolf, similar to phantasmal warriors etc.

Ethereal units look different than normal units even if they share the same sprite, so if you plan to make an ethereal wolf you could perhaps use the sprites of one of these:
normal wolf, dire wolf national of Vanheim/Jotunheim, winter wolf, a black dog from some mage who changes shape (I think Oni kings/Shinuyama/Jomon can summon one) or a Cu Sidhe of Tir Na Nog.

Using -- as comments in a mod file DOES NOT WORK. Better to use // but I'd just leave the # out from in front of any command you want to comment out. The game does not read lines from the mod that don't have # in front unless it's inside quotation marks.

The ghost wolf is a phantasmal wolf.

Generating charm effect on a weapon, mod a weapon to have enslavement as a secondaryeffect. See the weapon list in the Dom3 DB.

Thanks Edi.

I found the enslave effect on my own; however, it converts commanders to noncommanders. I was trying to avoid that.

There are charm effects in the spells list (effect 29) however that cannot be directly applied to a weapon.
