EA Ulm Pretender Design
EA Ulm has lots of magic paths (none of them high), and needs at least somewhat good scales (a little prod, at least no sloth, and maybe even magic-1 to boost miserable research, even though it's sorta un-Ulmish). It seems pretty easy to raise your own levels in Nature and Earth.
Taking Death is sorta appealing, you have some access to it already and it has good access to thug chassis to make use of your forging bonus.
I've toyed with an A4F4 Phoenix in SP just to get Wind Guide/Flaming Arrows going because the EA Ulm archers are pretty good, and it guarantees access to Air and Fire boosters, but Air/Fire is much less useful than Death endgame. (Also, Astral?)
