Re: Quickness and Rate of Fire
When you take a W9 bless on archers, they don't seem to get two shots.
Commanders using boots of quickness and a bow or something (or even an item that casts spells) do indeed seem to get two shots though.
I'm not quite sure how these things fit together.

One mage I have got heroic quickness. Will he be able to cast more spells per turn? Or is this one of the useless abilities to him?

True, they don't fire two volleys, but their quickened fire shoots arrows in pairs. It took me a while to figure this out; I had to zoom in on them just after the arrow animations appeared to see it.

Quickness never allows double casting in Dominions 3. It used to do that in DomII, but it was changed.

Re: Quickness and Rate of Fire
Is that a change? I haven't played with sacred archers in awhile, but I distinctly remember my Ancestral Vessels getting off an extra volley about half the time.

Re: Quickness and Rate of Fire
Ooh, if what EvilDave says is correct, I am definitely going to have to have another go with my Tomb Kings with a W9D9 bless. Should be vicious.

It's partially true. Quickness allows casting spells from items twice a turn. I'm almost sure about that.

Re: Quickness and Rate of Fire
Oh, that's true. Much less dangerous than the other option, but that can still be very nasty with the right items. Like Rod of the Phoenix...
