Default OT: Battle of the Planets (its back!)

Anyone remember this wonderful cartoon of my youth?? (we used to fight in the schoolyard over who would be Mark and who would be Jason ). It was also called 'G-Force' or somesuch, wonderful Japanimation. Well its coming back....sort of....

Wizard magazine owned Anime title has reported that Comic book artist/god Alex Ross is doing a Battle of the Planets title in the near future. It will have 'tonnes of action' and 'themes the T.V. show could not deal with' (like the fact the the evil Zoltar (think its name was) was a man....and a woman?!?!?!).

Anyway, don't know when its coming out but it could be a heck of a ride (and amazing art considering Ross's Kingdom Come series.)

Yes, yes! I remember the G-force cartoon, but I don't remember a damned thing about it. Just remember that I really liked it as a kid. Came on at 6 in the morning and I used to wake up long before school to watch it.

"G-Force! Five secret agents trained to fly like birds!"

I remember it vaguely from childhood, but fortunately(?) Cartoon Network aired it for awhile a few years ago.

Yeah one of my Favorites from my childhood along with Doctor Who and Star Blazers.

Of course later you could add transformers and thundercats and many others to that .

Yup, I remember Battle of the Planets (And I've read Kingdom Come - this new thing sounds awesome).

And Terrahawks... ah, Terrahawks... with that evil space witch and Windsor Davis doing his Regimental Sgt Major voice for that robot... and the robots doing the noughts and crosses (tic-tac-toe) bit at the end...

May I suggest a nostalgic trip to http://tv.cream.org/ and/ or http://www.themez.co.uk - I know for a fact that the terrorhawks theme is available...

But I can't possibly leave this post without mentioning Ulysses.. Even Nono, small robot you know, can help Ulysses... ah yes, happy days... small boys playing football in the park, hmm?.. jumpers for goalPosts...
