Scenario 10 Raid on Cassinga 5/78
Hello to all,
In the script 10 Raid on Cassinga 5/78, the troops of the Swapo are charged in trucks parked on the parkingt. What a pity, because it was an excellent and very pleasant scenarios to play.
Bravo however for this excellent game (ditto for WinSpWW2)

After the SA landings the AI unloads the infantry from the trucks and pulls the trucks back. So what exactly is the problem ??

Re: Scenario 10 Raid on Cassinga 5/78
hello Don,
In an old version of this scenario (that was proposed in the past by Cyberstratge a French magazine), the troops of the Swapo were dispersed in their camp. Trucks were parked to the parking lot but were empty of men.
The goal of the scenario was to eliminate the QG Swapo as well as the maximum of units. The various Swapos units were therefore dispersed in defensive positions (I have in memory trenches, buildings, court of the barrack..etc). Some troops south africa covered the North of the village, other anti-tank troops protected the south acces in forecasting of a Cuban troop intervention/raction.
And there, all troops are grouped in only one place, ready for the massacre...

Re: Scenario 10 Raid on Cassinga 5/78
Don:
Is this the same version as included in v3.5?
Ive played this scenario and obtained a game marked victory but didnt attend the special victory conditions, are these to be observed by the player only I assume.
Regards
Robert

If you didn't make the special victory conditions with the old one you won't with this revision but they can be made.

Re: Scenario 10 Raid on Cassinga 5/78
Thats obvious Don, Im sorry, what I meant to ask is: what changes from the 3.5v to this new version? it is a matter of leaving one flag left I assume?
I couldnt run the scenario, it says "Save game failed to load!".
Regards
Robert

The new version has the SWAPO units dispersed plus some of them have a bit of added experience and morale plus one flag was moved to the other side of the river for the last unit crossing the river to flip . All in all the scenario is a better fight than it was before

OOPS..... I forgot that the changes we have made to the EXE means all older version of the game will not load sceanrios made with V4. Now.... before ANYONE gets their knickers in a knot about this it will mean NOTHING to anyone upgrading the game when the new patch comes out. Every scenario, old and new will work just fine with V4 it's just that anything made with V4 won't work with earlier EXEs but that has been true for most of the releases.
I have deleted the attachment as there is no way for anyone who doesn't have the latest EXE to run this and we won't be issuing that until 2008 sometime
