Hi
I notice that the American rifle grenade weapon 092 "M9A1 Rifle Grnd" has a range of 5. According to these sites
http://www.saw.usace.army.mil/campbutner/AppendixE.pdf
and
http://books.google.com/books?id=uvQ..._4SV4dvg#PPA32,M1
this is the -Maximum- range of the weapon not the effective range which is quoted at 75 to 100 yds.
Now the equivelent German weapons have a range of 4, However from
http://www.geocities.com/Augusta/8172/panzerfaust8.htm
We have for the German rifle grenades(wpns 093, 094, 095 and 188), "A rather complicated aiming device was mounted to the left of the original sights and allowed for aiming ranges of up to 300m"
So maybe the German weapons range should be 6?
The German weapons maximum range is possibly greater than 600m anyway as it is lighter than the M9 (390 vs 590grms) and is fired by a more powerful cartridge.
So we need to I think compare apples and apples here, not efective vs max range but effective vs effective or Maximum vs Maximum.
Accuracy is also of interest, the German and I believe French rifle grenades and the British AT rifle grenade could actually be fired from the shoulder, allowing for some fair accuracy when firing at vehicles. The American M9 (And the british HE riflegrenade, weapon 093) actually had to be fired with the Rifle stock firmly planted on the ground 'a la' knee mortar, this could only have been extremely inacccurate when engaging vehicles.
However all the abovementioned rifle grenades get an accuracy rating of 2. The shoulder fired weapons I think need a better accuracy or the butt on the ground versions a lower accuracy.
Best Regards Chuck.
