EDIT: I'm score #1, my allies the Toltayan's 2nd, my other allies the Phrong 4th. Other races include the Drusaka- who despite being "brotherly" are at war with me, and refuse my treaties-, the Amon'Krie, and the terrans. The terrans have been at war with my since they build there first ship. I've got them bottled up in a one-system hole and have been fighting them the entire game. Could have glassed them a loong time ago, but I want those homeworlds.
If you're wonderinf how I'm sweeping- I took a page from In Death Ground and have been minesweeping with old, small ships and purpose-build suicide escorts. Well, not so much "sweeping" as bludgoing the field to death, but it does work.
and now it's 2415.7, and I've bludgoned the Terran's into surrendering. Also dropped a pair of neutrals, but that is a mere nothing..especially since they're on the other side of the galaxy and my ally was ripping their guts out
Hmm.. you only get one (1) in each tech level your victim had when they went down. Terran's were using CSM Vs, but I only gained CSM II
Annnnd there goes the Last neutral. Amazing what dumping 1500kt of troops onto their homeworld will do.. 2416.8, 151k research.

that's just what *I* did, no surrender stuff. So in 20 turns, I gained ~15 techs.
