New PBW game open: Adamant 003

Not that anybody could join at the moment, but here is some shameless self-promotion anyways

Anybody want to join this cool game? Come on, all your friends are doing it! Well, not really, cause there are only 5 people in this game so far, including myself. Anyways, why don't you join?

Ever have the urge to build a cool ringworld? And then, after you build it, you realize that the game is pretty much over anyways if you can devote the resources to building one of these things (esp. against the AI)? Well, here's your chance to play a game with a ringworld that is still fun to play, cause you and everybody else start off on it! Sounds cool, huh? So, when SEIV PBW finally comes back, you know that you want to join Adamant 003.

i am in this game, my pbw name is chocolatefro btw, but i was htinking of taking this a step further witha PBW game that would have more of a scenario start. If anyone has taken the time, the Homecoming scenario (SJ) has some really balanced AI races that are locked in combat. I think that that would be a good test for my idea for a cold war esque scenario, would people be opposed to unequal starting positions? I'm not sure how to convert a scenario start into a PBW game. Well, until i figure it out/someone else does go play Adamant 0003. And if you don't take adv storage i will laugh. (i don't remember if i did i hope i did submit hte right emp file, btw does nayone know if i can resubmit a different one if it doesn't work?)

You can't re-submit your empire to the PBW server once you've uploaded it. However, you could email me a replacement empire file. The first turn has to be created manually be the host (me in this case), so I could use the new empire that you send me instead of the one on the server.

To play a scenario, you'd have to have all the empire's passwords and play the first X turns for all the empires to set up the starting conditions. Then, you'd have to create a game on PBW. You'd use the assign players function to assign all the players in the EXACT order that they appear in the scenario, or else they'd get the wrong turns. Then, once all the players are set up on the server, you'd start the game. Then, upload the scenario save to the server as a replacement turn, and your players would then be able to get the first turn of the scenario and you'd be under way.

Come on, is anybody interested? Unless any of the four other people in the game aren't getting SEIV Gold when it comes out, I'll convert this game to Gold as soon as I get it (pre-ordered Last year ) . I'd rather not start it with only 5 people, and I can't start it now, cause the PBW server is still down, so it will be a while before the game starts. If no-one has any interest in this game, then tell me and I'll shut up and stop bumping the thread. Otherwise, please humor me and at least say you'll join it.

For this game, I think I'm going to make the map have 255 systems and I'll try to eliminate the "edges" of the map by creating warp points connecting the top-bottom and left-right edges, as mentioned in another thread. Since PBW will probably be down for a while, I have plenty of time to do this, and if anybody in the game wants to protest, then they are welcome to do so.
