Question about features
Im' currently working on the second beta version for my online map editor, and I have a question for map makers : can a feature be set from an ID instead of the name, and if yes is there somewhere a list of dom3 features with their IDs, even if it is incomplete ?
The list from http://www.dom3minions.com/docs doesn't list any id, and Edi's DB is still in progress (unless the features list is already done and I missed it ?)

Re: Question about features
Feature?
If you mean terrain, then no. At least, not most of them. Some such as nostart do have seperate commands that can be used instead.
If you mean magic sites, I dont remember. I dont think so.
If you mean fortress, then yes.
Poptype, yes.

Re: Question about features
Features as in "magic sites", yes. (that's how the game call them after all)
I was adding the feature list to my map editor, and as some features (all national I think) had the same name, I started rethinking the way I used them until now.
If it is only needed for some specific national sites, it won't be a problem.
Thanks Gandalf.

Re: Question about features
It is possible to substitute ID numbers for site names in map files. That is how I made my "all sites" map. I will attach a numbered text file here. Note that it was made with version 3.04, so if any sites have been added or rearranged with 3.06, it will be outdated. Hope it helps.

Re: Question about features
Thanks, it's exactly what I need.
At worst I can ignore the IDs excepted for the rare sites where several versions exist with the same name.
With this I will be able to test the solution I am planning to use for the units types/IDs
And when Edi's DB will be completed, I will be able to add more informations about each features (path, level, description, ...)
Meanwhile Is there's already such a list for the unit types IDs ?

Re: Question about features
How, thanks ! ^_^
The list is up-to-date for the 3.06 patch ?
With this I should be able to have the commander editing phase done with only a few more hours of work, thanks again.
