Default WP: Half-Platoon APC formations.

I've been playing a few 50s and early 60s era battles as the Soviet Union and WP nations. I've noticed a problem in the OBBs.

Before the introduction of the BTR-60 and BMP series, the BTR-152 and BTR-50 where not used as a traditional squad APC, of one APC per squad, but as a half-platoon APC. ex. A BTR-152 can carry 17 soldiers in addition to its crew and a BTR-50 20 soldeirs.

The problem is I'm not sure about platoon sizes for this era, if their 3 squads like in more modern TO&Es how do you divide that in half? They may have split a squad while mounted, then it would rejoin when the unit dismounted. This of course is not possible in the game engine.

But, if you look at the reserve company formation (in the Russia OBB) in the game, which I think represents older formation types, it has a 4 squad platoon, which would fit a half-platoon APC formation, of two APCs per platoon.

Anyone have any more information about these older era infantry platoon organizations?
