Why don't I get any answers?

i had never heard of that story before. im guessing most other people did not either, and since its sort of irritating when people post just to say 'i dont know,' they probably just thought they would wait and see if anyone else knew.. which no one did..

as for the score thing, the AI 'cheats,' if you want to call it that. you can get races that you have not met (but have traded comm signals for) to surrender to you based upon your score. so yeah, the ai can look at your score. however, asside from diplomacy and MEE settings, the AI makes no tactical decisions based on score, as far as i know.
