Re: OT - Doom 3: am I missing something?
Fixing the flashlight problem won't fix the having-to-interact-with-NPCs problem.
I bought Doom 3 expecting it to be more of Doom 2, only with bigger explosions, scarier monsters and cooler guns.
I expected to be deposited into a level where I'd have to start shooting right away.
I don't care that they made the game the way they made it, but they should NOT have called it Doom 3.
As far as the flashlight thing is concerned, I wonder if anybody bothered to playtest the game. That's a design flaw so glaringly obvious...how could somebody at the company NOT see it???
