Default Downloaded demo changed screen size problems

Hi I downloaded the demo and changed screen size in options and now game screen is too big.

Can I revert to original screen size?

Is there anyway to change resolution in a game file?

Tried reloading demo and it is still having same problem.

Cheers, SJD

Hey there,

I'm not entirely sure I understand your question, but it sounsd like you're having some sort of problem with the resolution.

You should be able to change the game's mode from fullscreen to windowed (or vice versa) by going into the options menu and checking or unchecking the "full screen" checkbox.

If for some reason the game has stopped loading at all and you need to change this setting, you can try changing the setting directly in your registry.

To do this:
-Click Start-->Run, type in 'regedit' and press enter.
-Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Shrapnel Games\Land of Legends\GameSettings
-In the right-hand window pane, right-click on IsFullScreen and click on Modify.
-Change "True" to "False" (or vice versa).
-Close the registry editor and start Land of Legends. This setting will now be the opposite of what it was before you did this.

I hope that helps. Feel free to follow up a more clear definition of the problem if you're still having trouble.

Thanks!

Yep that was the problem. In full screen mode I can only see a quarter of the screen on my monitor and can't acceess the "options" menu.

Would this be a software or hardware issue?

If I was to buy your game I'd like to play in full screen mode and be able to see the whole screen...

Cheers, SJD

Hmm, to be honest, I have no idea what kind of problem that would be.

This is the first time I've heard of that issue, and I don't know what would cause it. But since the demo and final version use almost identical code, I would expect an issue with the demo to reproduce in the full version.

If you'd like, you can send a dxdiag.txt to [email protected] and we'll look at it. (To make a dxdiag.txt, click Start->Run, type in 'dxdiag', and then click 'Save All Information' in the DirectX diagnostic tool that comes up.)

Thanks!
