Re: TDM-ModPack 3.40 Beta
Yes, this is correct. This Version includes all previous changes. The different size comes from an improved compressor in the setup program.

Re: TDM-ModPack 3.40 Beta
Excellent! And thank you very much. Since the Version number remained constant and did not change to 3.41 or whatever there was an element of uncertainty. Thanks again.

Re: TDM-ModPack 3.40 Beta
Finally the server is back up so you can download TDM from its homepage.

Re: TDM-ModPack 3.40 Beta
I made some changes in my TDM Data files and i wish to know if they will have any impairing effect in the TDM AIs... I basically reduced the Research Point productionto a fifth of the normal rate, and added Research Point generation (a small amout) to all ship sensors components and to the Master Computer components....
What effects this would have in the AI?
Thanks

Re: TDM-ModPack 3.40 Beta
I've noticed that post v1.91 patch, the TDM AI's still build Robotoid Factories on their Mineral, Organic and Radioactives Facility planets. Since the research for a Robotoid is much less than the individual production booster facilities (Mineral Scanners, Hybrid Eco-farms, Radioactives Colliders), most people use robotoids. But since most people play with some kind of AI bonus, the AI can quickly research these other facilities.
Since post v1.91, the individual booster facilities have a much higher bonus than the Robotoid, it seems worthwhile to use them. I'm not sure how hard it would be to have the AI use these individual booster facilities over the Robotoid, but it might be worth looking into. I think the placement of these facilities in "facility.txt" might be causing the AI to build the Robotoids over the individual booster facilities, and since the AI won't scrap facilities, this might not be possible for the TDM mod since it doesn't mod the facility.txt file. Anyway, this is just a suggestion if another revision to this mod is ever issued.

Re: TDM-ModPack 3.40 Beta
Thanks, I never noticed that those Mineral Scanners, Hybrid Eco-Farms and Radioactives Colliders are better than the Robotoid Factories. I've been building Robotoid Factories and not bothering with those other facilities because I wasn't paying attention to the bonuses that they give. I'm going to have to build those other ones and scrap the Robotoids! Well, depending on the situation of course, considering the size and values of the planets, etc.

Re: TDM-ModPack 3.40 Beta
Pre v1.91 the individual booster facilities had the same bonuses (individually) as the Robotoid, and since the Robotoid is much cheaper to research, people were willing to spend the extra construction costs.
Post v1.91, you get more bonus for less construction costs. Makes the research worth it.
