Bug or What? and a query?
I was taking my Atlantean orbat out for a test op, to shake the bugs out of it when I noticed this strange thing. I was doing a night special forces op in West Africa, a platoon of sea commandos going ashore to be followed by IB paras in pathfinder drop inland and IB paras in helos. I noticed that I had forgotten to provide assault boats and decided to ask (the proper military term is 'snivel') the Brits for some. when I went through the task group to load them, I noticed that they were crewed by Indians with Indian Army ranks naik, havildar, and so on.
Is this a bug? If so it's not a serious one.
Also, if you give night vision gear to a paratroop transport, will your night drops be closer to the intended LZ?
Dankie,
troopie

*************Let me know if it happens with an stock game OOB. Weird things that happens in games using modified OOB's are not something I normally deal with

IDK for sure ( I don't think so but higher experience will help )but you can test it yourself easily enough buy building a test aircraft and trying it.

Re: Bug or What? and a query?
I tried using two stock orbats and a custom map transferrec from SPMBT 3.01. (I seldom throw anything away. Sanctions, you know.) The Indians showed up. I did the same on a random generated map. No Indians. I did the same with a custom orbat and a random generated map. No Indians. I think it's the map. I can live with it.
And NV gear seems to help a little in getting closer to the designated LZ, but training and experience help a lot more.

Re: Bug or What? and a query?
This is off thread but.. Die Operasionale Gebied means The Operational Area.
Perhaps we need a thread explaining various terms and acronyms used by the members.
