Question about bodyguards and assassins
I had 5 units guard my prophet but when he was attacked by an assassin, none of the bodyguards showed up. What am I doing wrong?

Re: Question about bodyguards and assassins
If they were in a group under your Prophet, and had orders to "Guard Commander", and they did not show up, and they were not killed prior to the assassination (by disease, or by a ranged spell), that would be a bug.

I think it's a bug then. Can you look at the file I've attached? Thanks.

Re: Question about bodyguards and assassins
The plot thickens: I just learned that my opponent never tried to assassinate anyone. Is this just a bad luck event that you can get with no bodyguards?

Re: Question about bodyguards and assassins
Yep.
Incidentally, last I checked it still tells you who controls the assassin. If it's Independents, it's because of the event. If it's owned by a player, you'll find out as you would for any other battle.

Re: Question about bodyguards and assassins
That's not a bug, it's a special event. "An Assassin tried to eliminate one of oyur commanders."
You get no guards, no nothing. I've seen it a couple of times as Soul Gate (since I have Luck 3 and Turmoil 3 and see a lot of events).
