Default Battlefield Heat/Cold ?

I have two questions about battlefield heat/cold.

1. I am not seeing many effects of this. Testing with an Unquenched Sword got me no gains for the Abysian troops which are supposed to be stronger in heat, and no noticable increased fatigue of enemy Jotun troops. (Many of them had fatigue of 10 around the end of a 20 turn battle.) I noticed the same with Grip of Winter -- while a Breath of Winter will kill my own troops nicely, a Grip of Winter doesnt seem to tire out enemies much.
Does anyone know how much fatigue/round is supposed to be dealt out?

2. These effects are supposed to be stronger/weaker in cold/hot provinces. HOw high is this supposed to be, any clue? (+/- fat/round per heat/cold scale shift?)

Thanks

I've seen it have a noticeable impact on spell-casting fatigue.

Also Niefelheim troops get plusses to some of their stats in cold provinces.

1. I thought those battlefield spells didn't change the 'heat/cold' modified for units, only generated heat/cold causing fatigue once a round -- like chill/heat aura, but for the entire battlefield.

2. I think it depends on the unit.
