Ship Names text limits?

For ship names (or planet names, etc...) is there a size limit? I am thinking of playing with individual ship names in a certain game, but want to make sure it's feasible. Can the game handle ship names up to 30 characters?

Heh, I just whipped up a couple thousand klingon names using some Klingon dictionary and Klingon House names Online...some get longish...(but probably mean things like "Goiter of House Reshtarc")

and so forth....using Excel I came up with a list of more than 10,000 unique names to cut and paste in...I really quite enjoy the QConflict game, can ya tell?
