Small question about patches

Hey everyone,

i was away for a while, lost in SE4.

Anyways, i just come across this board once again, and i have a small question. When i bought Dom 2 i was quite happy with it, and played it for countless hours, always playing new themes and tactics. Now i quitted the game for a few month, hoping for patches to include the promised themes, p atches to add yet missing themes. I was hoping to see 1-2 themes for each nation, instead of 3 themes for one nation and 0 for another.

Now i recently read about the development of Dom 3.
So is Dom 2 abandoned, at least for patches ? I know of the recent 1.15 patch and the Oceana mod thingy, but hey i was expecting some serious official additions through patches. Will there be further addons/themes for Dom 2 or not ? Or could the present themes at least be made more...useful ? Return of the Raptors or Blood of humans anyone ? Perhaps Conquerers of the Sea ?
As of now, the only real theme added was Golden Era yes ?

Well, not really.

What little we commoners now are mainly just rumours, but have you read the recent FRAQ! newsletter... In it both sides of Illwinter reveal interesting tidbits. As an example, all three themes of Caelum are said to be fun to play, not just to think of; that one of the new nations is Bandar Log (Indian, as living in India, theme); that the three new nations that were promised to Dom3 will quickly be finished and some new ones might be developed before the games comes out; that the 3d part got an overhaul, that the forests now consist of numerous 3d trees that actually block view and many more things. I have made some of my friends crazy with certain Words that promice much... Srivad Bhagavara Mahapurana! (damn, that was srimad)
