Do you get magic items from commanders you kill?

YES PLEASE! That is a very good item. I've made super combatants out of regular commanders. But first you gotta wait till they turn into a wolf. They have like 24 hp sooo you just equip it with some armor, a weapon, and you have your mini-super combatant. of corse it will die really fast so you will need it to fight in a group with many other units and a few on guard duty. Anyway...
