Default Spies as Sitesearchers?

I'm not sure if this is a bug, an overpowered feature, or just random chance, but it seems every province I move my Machakan priest guy who is stealthy (can't remember the unit name) to has a magic site. I don't have to search with him or anything, and he has no mage skill whatsoever, so I figure stealthy units must be able to get reports on sites in enemy provinces. But EVERY province? It's almost like the game is reporting every site that exists, not just the ones that have been discovered yet! Then again, at least some of the territory I'm exploring was IIRC previously owned by Arcoscephale, so it's likely they did a thorough search of their lands...

The Spy shouldn't reveal any sites that aren't already revealed. However, Arco is a magically powerful nation and may very well have ransacked their provinces thoroughly, possibly by Acashic Record.

i have to admit i was wondering bout this one, too

Sometimes by scouts, spies magically discover magic sites in hostile provines. You get that small icon when selecting the province which tells you "magic site" and when you click on the report thingy it tells things like

"the extraordinary xx site is located here"
whats this all about ? does this mean once a magic site is known to the owning played it is also known to the "population" and it will spread the word about it or something like that ?

yeah, as I understand it, if a magic site has been discovered, or if it is of the "level 0 automatic discovery" kind (like Arena), then the spy will gain knowledge of it in his report from the province.

If you're finding a large number of sites identified, most likely arco has done extensive site searching there, or Acashic Record.
