tac battle viewing options
I'm wondering what we can do, regarding the 3D aspect of the battlefield, to modify our angle of vision, the rotation, or the zoom level.
do we see as clearly as the top down view of dominions I how the unit are placed, and what they do round after round? (not that i regret the old view, the particles effects are beautiful).

Re: tac battle viewing options
On the battlefield, you can change the height of the camera, as well as track it left-and-right across the field. On both the battlefield and main map, the zoom goes from way-way-way-in to way-way-way-out. ('Scuze the technical jargon there, but I can't remember any specs on exactly how far in or out. )
The space-bar pauses things for a moment during battle, which is a great aid in getting the camera positioned as you want. It is very easy to see everything, either with a wide-open eagle's eye view or by going right down in to almost bump heads with the troops.

Re: tac battle viewing options
thank you for the precisions. So in the battlefield, you always remain on the edge, you cant move forward to see better the most distant units? Is it not difficult to check the stats of these units?
are the speed keys still there (0 to 9).

Re: tac battle viewing options
You can move the camera forward and backward too, so it is quite easy to zoom in on a particular unit anywhere in your army.

Re: tac battle viewing options
"Illwinterland"?
My mapbook says it's called Sweden...
And how could you dare to think that IW would make un-working tactical combat?
