That\'s IT???
OK, game endings are always controversial. I think the "reward" when you finished Duke Nukem 3D was the best I've ever seen, errr, heard
But I have to say I was a wee bit unimpressed with SE4's. "This game has ended. Thank you for playing Space Empires IV".
Then again, I must admit that's better than "This game has ended. Got your butt kicked again, didn't you, you whiny little beotch?"

I agree, something needs to be added... at least a high score page!

quote: A summary or history graph would also be nice.
Are you talking about the demo? Because when I "finish" a game in the full Version, I get a box that says, "The victory conditions for this scenario have been achieved. See the Scores page to find out who won." (Or something like that.) The Comparisons and History buttons seem to give at least part of what you're asking for.

Re: That\'s IT???
Never noticed those before, guess cause I don't win often enough or I'm in a hurry to start a new game.
What would be neat would be something like at the end of Alpha Centuari where you could replay the game on the strategic map and watch the different empires expand, contract and disappear. Always liked that feature.

Re: That\'s IT???
To expand on that, it'd be neat if the program could somehow keep a history log for stuff like empires (expansion/contraction), systems and planets (who originally colonized what, how many times a planet/system has changed hands and to who, etc), and wars (winners/losers and tracking progress by date). It'd add a lot for roleplaying purposes.

Re: That\'s IT???
I agree. I always liked to watch my color envelop the whole world, why not expand that to the whole galaxy

Re: That\'s IT???
problem is that the whole map is a sequence of dots not the textured alpha centauri map, and the game wasnt made to have the border feature of alpha centauri... but it could and it would be nice, in the system not galaxy map have a light shading of who controlls what (with an off feature of course) then you could watch say an out lying system witch switched hands and watch the colors expand and contract

Re: That\'s IT???
Well the borders as is in SE4 should work somewhat... you'll see borders expand (and they are color-coded, ever notice the colors when your in a partnership), and contested system.... but it would also be nice if they but some neon red color for all systems that have been deystroyed!
