Ok, as it currently stands you cannot attack your 'allies' in tactical/strat combat. Even if you are 'brotherly' to one, 'murderous' to another, witness them both in combat over your planet, know the 'murderous' will most likely break treaty with you in the next few turns, you cannot decide to 'discard' one ally and come to the aid of another.
Anyone else like to see this changed? I for one would like to be able to come to the aid of my true ally vs. one that I have a treaty with just to prevent him from glassing me. Esp Subugation(sp?) treaties, would like to 'throw off the chains' in midbattle and come to anothers aid. Much more 'realistic'. I know the AI could have troubles with this change but if the 'attitudes' of the AI ever get 'fixed' it could be implemented. That way an empire that you are 'murderous' toward might decide to support one of their 'real' allies in combat, surprising you

and adding a new twist.
(the other fix I would like is AI that will BREAK treaties when it says it will, not just threaten for 10+turns.)

"The Empress took your name away," said Chance.
Owen smiled coldly. "It wasn't hers to take. I'm a Deathstalker until I die. And we never forget a slight or an enemy." -Owen Deathstalker.
