Some suggestions
Just found this forum, so I thought I'd post a few suggestions for tweaks.
First, in the research screen, allow me to toggle off completed research areas. When I reach mid/late game, I don't want to scroll through several "pages" to get to the ones I want to focus on.
Second, make the next/prev ship arrow stop in a fleet only once. That is, treat all ships in a fleet as one ship for this purpose. When I am trying to get to my 2 new colony ships, I don't like having to go through all 30 of my warships in 3 fleets, although I do want to see each fleet.
Third, when I have conquered another race, and create a colony ship on one of their worlds, the atmosphere type doesn't usually match my own, quite rightly. However, it would be nice to have an indication somewhere of what atmosphere the colonists like, or a warning message when I am about to put colonists onto a non-ideal world. I know I can fix it later, but it gets to be a pain. Is there a better way to do this?
I have more, but those are my big gripes at the moment.

Re: Some suggestions
You can find out what atmosphere a given set of colonists like by right-clicking on them in the cargo manifest. One of the info lines tells you their atmospheric preference.

Sorry about the triple posting. I'm rather unsure what happened there. 8(

Just use the next fleet command/button.

Right click on the portrait to get a description of the race... even works on the mini-portraits.

Re: Some suggestions
Next fleet will select un-fleeted (to coin a word) individual ships? I never noticed that, I will give it a try when my current game gets to the point where I have fleets!

Re: Some suggestions
You can also set the next/previous button to stop only once per square in the empire options screen.

Re: Some suggestions
What I think he means and something I want (as an option at least) is for the next ship button to treat fleets as one ship so it doesn't toggle through every ship in the fleet. Kind of tedious when you have a fleet of 25 ships.
The only stop at one location once aint much of a use imo if I have more than one fleet or a fleet and several unfleeted ships at that location that I want to get hold of.

Re: Some suggestions
Yes. Next ship should count the fleet as a
ship; or at least their should be an option
under Empire Options to enable this. I've
already submitted a change request to
Malfador for this.
