Default Lone Star quad

I just posted my extremely tiny Lone Star quadrant addition to SE4. Think of it as SE1 for SE4.

For a change of pace once I played a high tech start, small quad, 10 planets, allowed to start in same system game.

Boy howdy was that different. Everybody declared war on everybody pretty much from the start. I had 5 planets in one system with 3 other races, and 5 in another with 2 different races.

Pretty much it was build ships and attack as fast as you could. Talk about a dog fight.

That would be very interesting with this tiny quadrant.

How about getting a map with NO PLANETS.

Just system after system with SphereWorlds.

You'd have fewer colonies that require much more defense, and it could make for an interesting game.

you could make a map this way by destroying the planets, creating the sphereworlds, and saving the map. you could keep it pure by then disabling SM to prevent planet creation from the asteroide, or you could destroy each system with a blackhole, then collapse the black hole and create a star, then create the sphereworld.

the whole plan sort of falls apart though, since you wont be able to make a race START on the SW, and when you begin a new game on that map, new homeworlds will be created for each participating race.

cool idea though.
