XP is great for me. Every application I have runs very well (I've even gotten old DOS games to work under WinXP).
Win2k is pretty good too.
Of course, Badger already has Win98, which works just fine for him, so no reason to spend $100 on WinXP Pro (don't buy home, buy pro)
