That is probably because of the analog cable going from the CD drive to the Sound Card. You could try unplugging that (after shutting down), and then try to enable digital playback and see if the music plays. (dont forget to see my Last post, made while you were typing ).

The CD audio is on in the TDM settings file... just checked that. I'm not going to mess about with the hardware for this - shouldn't be necessary. I can play the SEIV music tracks in Windows Media Player, and I have no sound problems in any other games or while playing music CD's, so tinkering with the cables isn't entering into this.

Re: CD Music?
Tinkering with the hardware always enters into it. Its up to you if you want to make it work or not.

Re: CD Music?
i am not able to listen to music anymore either. even with a regular audio cd in the drive. i checked the settings file and initially the allow cd music was set to false. i have changed it to true, but still no music. this is on both my home pc and my laptop.
edit: i had disabled the cd music initially since i was listening to whatever was on the radio at the time instead.

Re: CD Music?
Well I tried to reenable the music on my game and got it working. It sounds like you may have done all this but here is how I got it working.
1 - the settings file option set to TRUE As mentioned previously
2 - The Allow CD game option in the game turned on.
Now at this point I had NO music BUT if I closed the program and restarted it the music came on.
I also noticed that if the line in the settings file is set to False turning on the option in game does nothing.

Well, it worked for me too. I'm so glad I didn't have to tear my tower apart to do it. I'm still curious if this is an SEIV code thing, or a Windows thing - but that would require someone much more tech savvy than I am. Anyways, thanks for the tip.
