Riots after 5 Turns
Does anyone have a reason why all of my planets (minus homeworld) started to riot after only a handful of pbw turns? No wars or conflicts yet. Just positive TR agreements.
I am now wasting time waiting to research Troops then distribute them while the others are claiming everything around me.
I did keep hapiness level to 100 when creating my race.
Baffeled for concrete reasons ...

Re: Riots after 5 Turns
What Happiness Type did you select? Neutral and Bloodthirsty are pretty much always a bad idea, as they get too many penalties for common tasks whereas Peaceful does not. Peaceful is also hardly affected by offensive wars that you are winning, and is affected less by losses than the other 2. If you did not take Peaceful, it is perfectly reasonable for your planets to go crazy, if you are not playing "with" your happiness type, but "against" it. Bloodthirsty, for example, gets anger increases from colonizing planets.

Thanks for the one area I forgot about. At least I know why and can fix in the future. Now I have to quell the bastards with fire.

And, perhaps most importantly for this particular example, both Neutral and Bloodthirsty get angry about agreeing to TR treaties!
Cyclops: Just as another tactic for next game (or later in your current game), build happiness facilities. For Temporal, you get Temporal Vacation Service facilities under the Temporal Technology research area; Religious gets the Fate Shrine under the Religious Technology area; Organic gets the Medical Lab under the Organic Technology area; and everyone else gets the Urban Pacification Center under the Applied Political Science research area. For the racial trait Versions, you have to research the initial racial tech (Temporal Studies/Religious Studies/Organic Engineering) before research Temporal/Religious/Organic Technology; for the standard Version, you first research Psychology to get Applied Political Science.
Hope that helps! And good luck! Fortunately, as posted elsewhere in this forum, homeworlds will NOT riot; they bottom out at Angry. Which is good, because a rioting world won't build anything...

Re: Riots after 5 Turns
Let's hope you are Bloodthirsty...
If so, break those treaties. As soon as possible, declare war on (at least) someone, preferably someone you don't have to worry about too much.
