Re: New Beta out to the testers...
Well, I am from the original 50 testers, and there is another group from Shrapnel. At first MM didnt want any more testers, but for now I don't know.

The two will hover, spinning inches above the ground. With a giant buttered cat array, a high-speed monorail could easily link New York with Chicago.

Re: New Beta out to the testers...
I have send Messages to both Shrapnel and MM to let them know I'm available as betatester if they need to strengthen the work force. Let's wait and see.

Re: New Beta out to the testers...
I hate to break this to you guys, but you allready are beta testers in everything but name. Anyone who has played SE4 and taken the effort to submit an error report to MM, or to this forum is more or less a beta tester. SE4 undergoes about the same number of released patches as the average beta tester would get, and we are evaluating these patches as we speak.
Now, I don't mean this in a bad way; in fact, I thoroughly enjoy it. MM is responsive to our requests, releases patches in a timely manner, and keeps us informed of what is going on. This is in stark contrast to almost all other game companies. Like I said, this could always be Reach for the Stars!
I for one, am glad to finally encounter a game company that cares about it's customers after the first patch is released.

I agree. I'm totally impressed with this company. What a breath of fresh air.

Here, here. One heck of a lot better than Blue Tongue/Microprose/Hasbro gave Starship Troopers.

Richard, I think you could improve the execution speed of the Strategic combat execution by only redrawing the tiny window after all ships have moved, or better yet, leave an option to see the combat or not. I think the redraw is probably what's slowing it down so much.
