Premade pretenders are cool -- provided they're interesting!
However, why not do it both ways? It would be a simple manner to make a copy of the scenario with the Pretenders not fixed.

Re: Shepherds of Creation
Of course. This is always a viable option. I just wondered if there was an interest in premade gods for the scenario.

Re: Shepherds of Creation
I also vote for pre-made gods. Sounds like great fun!
Though I do like starting out with only one province.

Re: Shepherds of Creation
The map is finished, but not yet available. The scenario is not finished yet. I'm considering starting some kind of Illwinter-hosted tournament/competition based on the map. Until the competition is finished you will not get access to the scenario map files and premade gods (only the basic map file).
Does this sound OK?
I'll have to do a bit of tinkering to make the scenario balanced in competitive games.

Sounds good to me. You might have a lot more than one gameful of takers though!

They could host several servers... That would certainly stop any cheating.

Regarding Baphomet, I love him! We just need a nice sprite of a goat headed dude with lots of nice pentagrams. (just make sure to give him a nice long caduceus )
A very misunderstood fellow, to be sure.

The dominions baphomet is the flaming head available to Marignon. Which is very loosely based on the bearded head that the knights templar were accused of worshippong in their trials, not the Eliphas Levi goatgirl. So no pentagrams or cadeceus.

Then both you AND JohanK should have it as your avatars, not just him!

Well, that is certainly no problem considering that the Templars were being tortured when they talked about the idol and even what they said is about a mysterious as anything could be
I love mysteries, and Baphomet certainly qualifies. Whatever it is, I'm sure it will be very cool and fun

It sounds great! This is the way scenarios should be run IMHO; what fun is it to see ahead of time all the special things the author has worked in?
