Any idea if the above MOLF system for the greek M48A5 has TI capabilities? Only thing I found was a brief paragraph in Rheimdalls (sp?) site, but I am not even sure if it was about the specific version or not.

The US Army's OPFOR Worldwide Equipment Guide mentions the MOLF kit under the M41 entry, and I assume its the same kit regardless of what tank its fitted to.

German Atlas offers the MOLF 1-plane stabilized laser range-finder fire control system and retrofit kit. The FCS includes a thermal night sight.

Not sure whether the FCS in question here is the one in the MOLF kit, as the note rambles a bit.

Actually M-48A5 MOLF has first generation thermal sights (60 elements). Something that should be corrected in the greek OOB.
EMES 18 -which is installed in M48A5 MOLF- is a slightly different version of EMES 15 (Leo 1A5/2A4).

A MOLF 48 firecontrol system has a roof-mounted primary gunner's sight incorporating day sight, laser rangefinder, and thermal night sight. A computer controls the main gun and coaxial machine gun. The system can engage stationary or moving targets while the tank is either stationary or moving. The stabilization system has four modes:

* "stab on" when stabilized gun and turret are slaved to the gunner's primary stabilized sight.
* "stab ready" for self-stabilized gun and turret, manual laying with hydraulic power, and line of sight electrically slaved in elevation and azimuth
* "observation" for manual laying by hand cranks and line of sight is electrically slaved to elevation and azimuth.
* "turret off" for manual laying by handcranks, gunner aims using FERO Z19 panoramic telescope.
