bug with ghost platoon in long campaign
hi,
this bug appeared in a long campaign with v2.5 of winspww2 and remains with v3
it concerns my core troops and the rooster: i am unable to use groups B,C D and many others when buying new core troops because it seems that there are ghost platoons.
you can see this when you begin a new battle and go to your rooster
commander A0 seems to be in charge of many sections that do not exist, mainly artillery troops.
i do not know when this bug appeared, i recall just that i deleted a few of my core troops and i did not buy new core troops at once
moreover, i do not know if this is related, but now my artillery troops no longer fire smoke at turn 0
and finally when now buying new core plattons, the numbering of my platoons is now incorrect, like AS0 AS1 AT2 AT3 AU4 AU5...
is there a way to correct this?
many thanks

If you did this in 2.5, then it will continue in the ongoing campaign - version number has nothing to do with this.
The "phantom" formations seem to be the ones you deleted, and did not immediately replace. (That is the likely problem, which I'll look into). They only show in the cross-attachment screen & main roster, not the unit list.
Any arty I bought - or the one mortar you have in the core - has smoke on the pre-turn bombardment screen, as usual. (though the exe I have has a small fix for core unit smoke buy problems, which may affect this, it's unlikely since this only affected the PBEM campaign cores).
Cheers

Re: bug with ghost platoon in long campaign
hi
thx for the answer
i never bought arty for my core, only for support troops
so apparently my support troops became phantom core troops
apparently you get smoke at turn 0, this is strange
i only see the screen moving at turn 0, but no smoke
anyway this is not the real bug for me,
did you try to buy a full platoon to check the strange numbering of new core?

Re: bug with ghost platoon in long campaign
no comment after 10 days?
anyway, since i have a savegame of all my long campaign missions at the start and end, i have been able to track back the original error
it concerns the section AM, which is a new support section that did not occupy a slot from a deleted core section.
you can see it at the beginning of the scenario, and there is a savegame at the end, when you can upgrade repair you troops
slot am can not be used any longer,
can you tell me the reason why
is my savegame corrupted or is this a bug?
is there a fix for that?
thank you
