Map Urraparrand possible bug or ??
I've played on the Urraparrand Map v 3.04, 3 times now, in the late era. each time the map copies or duplicates itself. If you scroll up, down or side to side for a number o provinces, you find the exact same setup that your playing including all armies, forts, etc. I've rebooted, started over, and reinstalled, same problem, Anyone else have this problem with the map?????? I like the map, but its become unplayable do to the above..

Isn't this how wraparound maps work? The left side provinces connect to the right side, the topmost to the bottom ones. I personally also find wraparound maps confusing, so I prefer not to play them, but I think it's WAD rather than a bug.

Re: Map Urraparrand possible bug or ??
its not supposed to duplicate the map and all the units, forts etc... If I go upwards, I have my same starting location, if I go right, left, etc, I have the same thing, this includes all battles, forts, armies everything is duplicated so in essance I have the same map and forces in at least 4-5 different locations of the map??? I don't think this is what wrap around does. wrap around means you don't have any cornors or edges.

Re: Map Urraparrand possible bug or ??
...and what happens when you get to a spot where there would be an edge? You wrap around to the other side! You can hold down the right arrow, and see the exact same provinces, forts, armies, etc. 100, 1000, or even a million times if you've got the patience. It's not that they're multiple copies of those provinces etc., it's that you're seeing the same one over and over again. Imagine if you had a hovercraft and you were piloting it around Earth's equator. If you went far enough, you'd keep seeing South America. It's not like there are a whole bunch of copies of South America, though, there's just one and you keep seeing it over and over again. The game does let you zoom out to see up to two copies of the map; this doesn't somehow duplicate anything, it just lets you get a nice strategic overview. And the wraparound maps of Dominions are painted on a torus (a "donut") rather than a sphere like Earth.

It is a little disconcerting the first time you look at a wraparound map - but that is the way it is supposed to work.

dude, they aren't duplicated, you are looking at the same province twice. select a province and both of them blink. It is just how wrap around works, if you scroll out.

Re: Map Urraparrand possible bug or ??
hehehe... Think of wraparound maps as if they're supposed to be a (small) planets surface. That's not completely accurate, but that could make it a little bit more comprehensible for you why you always come back where you started, no matter if you scroll up, down, left or right in the map screen, like in PacMan.
