Maximun battle size

Sorry if this has come up before, but is there a way to limit the support points in a campaign?

I'm playing a long campaign with Germany (base size set to 1250), and after 2 decisive victories on Poland, I get 1000+ repair points and 4000 support points (current force value 2500 or so), for assault mission though. I find this slightly too much, thus my question.

Just don't spend them. The AI will build it's force in proportion to what your force value IS, not what it could be. Unspent support points will be lost once you start the scenario. Unspent repair points will accumulate to a maximum value (not sure exactly what).
