We can put this theory to the test quite easily. Go to the supermarket and buy a tin of dog food. Then buy a tin of cat food. open them both and serve them up.

Which would you say was more appealling, the juicy marrowbone jelly and crunchy biscuits that the canines enjoy, or the stinky, oily fish-mince in most cat foods?
