Re: Magic Path Booster Guide
The King of Magma will get you F4E1. Some nations have a real problem getting E (hello Mictlan and a never-ending stream of D2W spectral mages). So this guy can at least help you out a bit.

Re: Magic Path Booster Guide
It would be useful to add sections on getting holy casters, as well as holy undead casters.

Re: Magic Path Booster Guide
I would be all for adding a section on holy and unholy magic to the guide, but to be perfectly honest I don't know that much about it. There is a way to stack holy magic by getting a hall of fame prophet killed, reanimating him and then making him your prophet again, right? What other tricks are there? What else would go in the guide other than the few items that boost holy?

Re: Magic Path Booster Guide
well for example mound fiend is an H3 holy.
There are a lot of nation specific holy casters, as well as demon holy casters mandalahs, drakini's etc.
There are sites that allow the recruiting of H2 priests. quite a lot actually.

As a starter: 2 artifacts add +1 holy:
Sword of Justice (2h, F3S3 required);
Sword of Injuctice (1h, D4 required).
Also, Crystal Shield adds +1 holy for mage/priests for battlefield use only. As it's basically Power of the Spheres spell, the spell can be also useful if your priest is Astral mage.
Communions/Sabbaths the same, if you either have Astral or Blood, respectively, or use Crystal Matrix.
Hall of Fame Mummy was mentioned.
Chris, what other tricks did you mean?

Re: Magic Path Booster Guide
I don't have a lot of details, here either. I would think the jade knife might deserve a mention.
I know that Bogarus has numerous holy summons. Marignon's seraph, and one other. Lanka has at least one, Mictlan has three doesn't it, most of which are undead / demons?
The chayot is a holy 4, as are the grigori (I think) Spenta's are generally holy 3 - 4.

Re: Magic Path Booster Guide
Mound Fiends (and Telestic Animates) have H2, not H3.
Wrana's comment about the Crystal Shield needs some claification: "mage/priest" means that a vanilla H priest does not get boosted, you need at least 1 in another path.
There's a whole bunch of national H spells, I'm not sure if you want to enumerate all of them, since you didn't do that for the other paths.
Hidden in Sand gives you H2 Dust Priests. I can't remember if Hidden in Snow can also give priests.

Re: Magic Path Booster Guide
If I were to stay true to the goals of the guide, I would only include:
1. Items that boost holy
2. Ways to boost holy. Basically make a prophet, and the hall of fame trick.
3. Spells from other paths that "diversify" your holy path. Meaning that the summon produces a unit with a holy level higher than you could normally get. This limits it to H3 and H4 units, because H2 is available to basically every nation, and there are no holy spells above level 4. But those spells usually require ridiculous levels in the traditional paths. I mean is anyone going to get a blood 9 caster to diversify into H4? Seems a little extreme.
I think if the guide had a holy section then it would have to be different from the other sections, but I still want it to be primarily about path diversification. Jade Knife use might fall out of scope of the guide, as would enumerating national holy spells. Maybe include all summons that produce mage/priests would be in scope though. Or do you think the holy section should be expanded into a general "How to use Holy magic" guide? I would need help with what topics to include other than what was already posted.
