Well, it's been 24hrs - perhaps tonight? Turns should only take 2 min to do.

Re: SFE - PBW Test Games
Beep Beep Tesco. Let's get those turns in!
Also, we should be updating to the next version (0.21) by the weekend. It's just a minor patch that fixes a few of the items you've guys picked up on and adds pollution/unhappiness factors to industrial facilities.

Re: SFE - PBW Test Games
PBW is currently down for an indefinite amount of time, hopefully it will be back on in a short rather than long while. In any case, we'll be moving to the next version (0.21) which I'm finalizing right now. The biggest addition in this patch is the industrial pollution and unhappiness. You can check out the general facilities page for a preview of that: http://sfe.captainkwok.net/tech/generalfacilities.php

Re: SFE - PBW Test Games
Has the 'pollution' and happiness decrease ever been in a mod before...that is very cool...and very appropriate...I may consider borrowing this concept...

Re: SFE - PBW Test Games
I believe SJ came up with the concept and Fyron has since added them to the Adamant mod, and I suppose SJ's latest effort, Carrier Battles, probably has it too.

Re: SFE - PBW Test Games
GritEcon didn't have pollution. It made facilities require workforce (organics) and power (radioactives) to operate by using negative point generation abilities, at fixed rates. Carrier Battles has the pollution though. Hmm... ModWorks could use a Pollution mod, and one based on the overworking = unhappiness model in Adamant.

Re: SFE - PBW Test Games
Please finish the current turn with version 0.20 of the mod and when PBW comes back online, I'll execute the turn with version 0.21!
You shouldn't have to worry all that much about pollution and unhappiness on your homeworld as I didn't modify the homeworld facilities at this time. However, you'll need to keep an eye on your colonies. Do note that troops can increase population happiness at the moment, but this might not be so in the future so you should be prepared to build happiness facilities.

Re: SFE - PBW Test Games
Due to some RL issues, one of the players has had to opt out of the pbw test game Space Food Empires 002.
This means I'm looking for a replacement for the Carrot Imperium. Anyone interested?

Re: SFE - PBW Test Games
Bump.
I'm still looking for a hardy volunteer to take over the Carrot Imperium. It's still very early in the game (turn 5), so there wouldn't much time involved in switching over to your play style! Plus, a new update for the mod is ready to be applied that adds some neat stuff.
The game is listed on pbw as 'Space Food Empires 002'.
