Re: New Mosehansen Game, Paradise Lost
Okay, what's up with the bad luck? I'm at Luck +1, yet my unrest in my province is up to 50 due to 2 random events this turn, plus 1 in the previous turn or turn before that. And we're only on turn 9. How many brigands can take up residence in my capital for crying out loud??
<<Grrr!>>

Re: New Mosehansen Game, Paradise Lost
That's one of the reasons Zen (and others) have modded the luck scale. Unmodded, even a positive luck scale in effect increases the likelihood of bad events, since it causes more events in general, while not causing much of a bias towards good events.
Even with Luck 3, I've seen two horrificly bad events happen in the same early turn : pre-turn 3, the temple burns down and my capitol lost 50% of its population. Oooh, I felt LUCKY!!

Ah... now I see why it's best to use Zen's mods. Or, don't take any luck/misfortune scales.
New turn is up.

Re: New Mosehansen Game, Paradise Lost
And Pythium (Manuk) needs to stop hiring everybody and their brother. I've twice now tried to buy mercenaries, and both times I was outbidded. What is up with that? Going 1 gold over the price isn't enough?
Of course I do more than that, trust me.
So to see practically every mercenary band currently employed by one race is a first for me.

Pythiums citizens are too fancy to fight so I hired some thugs to do the dirty work.
Serously, Ive seen this in an other game where izaquios did the same to me. (I only could hire the fishermen in that one).
