Cool!
Can I ask the defintion of "25 hr Quickhost"? If I were to speculate (based on nothing other than wishful thinking), I'd hope that it meant that as soon as everyone submitted their turn, the turn was hosted immediately. If everyone has not submitted their turn, then the turn is processed on the 25th hr after the Last turn was processed. Am I correct?
To Esben Mose Hansen:
With or without my notion of the quickhost feature, providing this gameserver is work well done!! To my novice eye, the dominions community is rich in user contributions, and even against this background your contribution looks pretty damn awesome to me!

Re: MP Game - Belle Air - now underway
the great advantage of quickhost is that, in the early game when turns are short, it allows the game to proceed at a reasonable pace if all the participants are on the ball.
otoh, you always have at least 25 hrs to do your next move, if life gets in the way of the important things

Archaeolept,
Just curious, but I don't see you on the list of players - are you using a second user name? Or did you just set up this game out of pure generosity?

Re: MP Game - Belle Air - now underway
Game On!
there are 10 players, as opposed to the original conception of 8. As such, the victory conditions are to be the first to hold 4 capitals of vanquished pretenders (while still having your own).
good luck

Well, it would be generosity if it was *HIS* server to be generous with, but I think he just hogged the slot to stop other people from doing it first. You know how it is: To save the village, sometimes you gotta burn the village.

Re: MP Game - Belle Air - now underway
well, nor, how can i be "hogging" if i set up one game? hogging implies the sin of gluttony.
actually, i didn't feel much need to join in as there was such a rush of people who wanted to play. As well, norfleet had said that he wanted to play, and i'd still rather avoid games w/ him for the time being. Not that I wanted to go w/ a "no norfleets" house rule either.
anyways, the game seems to have started a bit slow. hopefully tomorrow you guys can pick up the pace a bit, and get more of the easy early part of the game out of the way.
enjoy.
